ALONE AND TOGETHER is an exhibition about people; about our differences and similarities, about the significance of our relation to ourselves and to others. The theme is addressed through a series of figurative paintings giving insight to a stillness of everyday human behaviour. Through acknowledging the relatable, a contemplative space is created for the viewer to consider the meaning of inhabiting a physical body with an emotional core. What does it mean to be the seeing or the seen, the subject or the object, you or me, alone or together?
