LOOK AT ME I SEE ME TOO is a series of oil paintings created in the build-up to the end of year degree show at Manchester School of Art. The work questions ideas of self, identity and individuality and captures the disharmonies that can be found in these definitions. The presentation of opposing suggestions established by the dualities of the subject can confront a viewer with an afflictive viewing. By blurring the boundaries between subject and object, the seeing and the seen, the paintings expose truths about nearness and isolation.
